Teresa was married (1191) at Guimarares in Portugal to Alfonso IX of Leon (link)
They were divorced (1198) and Queen Teresa founded the Abbey of Lorvano in Portugal
Teresa became the first Abbess of that house and was canonized at St Teresa of Portugal (1705)
